Want to learn how to create sparkly bokeh lighting? Follow these simple steps!
- Set up your scene in the foreground. This is where your action will take place.
- Hang up string lights in the background. The more distance between the two the more dramatic background blur will be.
- Set a low aperture in your camera so you’re shooting a shallow depth of field. For this shoot mine was 1.6. The lower the number the more abstract your bokeh will be, but make sure you keep your foreground sharp.
- Focus your camera onto your subject in the foreground and watch the background lights blur into bokeh.
